Day 88 - Airport Beach

We had a doozy of a thunderstorm roll through here last night. Apparently it was bad enough for them to sound the emergency sirens, but I completely failed to hear them. It was a good chance for me to see if the fireworks had any negative lasting repercussions for Jedi. I'm happy to report that he seemed to do just fine. There were a couple of big booms that woke him up and made him sit up to look around like he wondered what just happened, but there was no fear response. I tried to get the dogs out around 10:30 so that we could go to bed, but it was still raining quite a bit. While in the garage with the door to the yard open there was a BIG crack of thunder and Jedi didn't even react to it.

I went into the office today because there was a meeting that was best attended in person. That means we rushed through breakfast a bit, but the good news is that our experience from yesterday was repeatable! Jedi was able to do full right turns around the cone with the food placed in a variety of locations that required him to completely bypass my body without a spin to the left. We went back downstairs at lunch time and I was able to get multiple rotations around the cone! Hooray! We're not quite there when it comes to transferring to a toy, though. I tried really hard to wait him out during our play time following the food, but Jedi just got really, really frustrated. He seemed to transfer "check-check" to the toy really easily, so we'll keep working towards that with nanana.

Today I confirmed Jedi's newest obsession -- the toilet. There have been a few instances now that have led me to believe that someone has been in the toilet. Water drops here and there. A collection of dirt at the bottom of the toilet once (from playing in the dirt outside and then drinking out of the toilet). Odd noises coming from the direction of the bathroom.... Today was more noticeable, though. He's not jumping full in the toilet yet, but I have a feeling it's moving in that direction. I can't imagine Jedi played a part in it, but when I went in to kick him out of the bathroom earlier I noted that the toilet was running. Then I kind of made things worse. So tomorrow Jedi gets to have the experience of a repairman coming to the house. And then we'll be leaving the toilet lid down...

We did a really quick outing tonight because I started up a new term for school today and had seminars starting at 7:00. I ended up going to Airport Beach with Jedi and Kaiser. We haven't been back to that beach since it warmed up and Jedi really started to swim, so I figured it would be a good opportunity for him to test out his sea legs in a busier area. The beach was pretty busy, but not terribly bad and we managed to find a spot between a couple of parked boats and away from the big groups of people. I don't think it would matter to Jedi, though. Much like Secret, when water and toys are involved he doesn't really pay much attention to the other stuff around us.

The water ski team was out practicing tonight, so there was a lot of boat traffic along the river. This was causing some fairly big waves to come into shore on a pretty regular basis. Jedi took these in stride and didn't seem too put off by it. He did really well being the only one doing the fetching tonight - no hesitation at all. I threw some of them way out there, too, and he did great. Because of our time crunch I have to admit that I didn't do a lot to reinforce the whole "get out of the water" deal. I did some at the end and Jedi did well after a reminder, but for the most part I was in the water with him and just kept sending him back out. He got in a good 20 minutes of swimming tonight. He needed it, though, because he did absolutely nothing else the rest of the day.

We didn't get home until about 6:50, so dinner was out of a bowl again since I had to get logged in to my class.

Day 87 - Vet visit and Dresbach Beach (24 lbs)

Last night went a lot better so far as the fireworks were concerned. It helped to have the house completely closed up with everything cranked up high. It also helped that my immediate neighbors must have run out of M80s, so the normal firework sounds were fairly faint. Jedi had a couple of woofs, but that was it. I was able to work from home today, so we slept in again this morning. Jedi likes being up on the bed to cuddle in the mornings, maybe one of these days he'll realize he can do that at night, too.

Breakfast was spent -- guess it -- downstairs with the cone. Progress continued to be made and I was putting the food less and less off to the left and getting a nice continuation of the turn after Jedi ate it. Because of where we left off at breakfast, I took Jedi back downstairs at lunch time. We finally had a major breakthrough! While we aren't getting multiple turns yet, I was able to place the food to the right of me and get a full and complete bypass/circle around the cone without a spin! Hooray! Major jackpot. We'll see how much of that is retained when we continue tomorrow.

We left for our vet appointment around 1:30. Jedi was due for his rabies shot, Kizzy had her annual exam, and Kaiser got added due to the fact that he's still been gimping around on that left hind leg. Due to Kaiser's hitch, we drove up to the clinic instead of walking. It was pretty warm, so I was fine with that. They got us right in when we walked through the door. Jedi was first on the scale -- He came in at an even 24lbs today! That's a little over 2lbs since we stopped in there about a week and a half ago, but that time he'd only had a 1lb gain so I guess he made up for that.

It didn't take long before the vet was in to see us. I hadn't even had a chance to dig into Jedi's bag of toys yet, as he seemed pretty happy to just play with his leash while we waited. Jedi was thrilled to say hello to our vet when he came in, so I pretty much had to hold him back while Kizzy had her exam done first. The vet checked out Jedi's mouth after I pointed out that the dead canine fell out. Well, it turns out that it didn't really fall out so much as broke off, as there are still a few shards of the tooth/root in the gums. My vet didn't seem concerned at this stage and said to keep an eye on it. He doesn't think it will interfere with the adult tooth once it's ready to come in.

The tech came prepared with squeeze cheese again, so they loaded the wall up with that before Jedi's shot. In addition to his rabies shot, I decided to go ahead and get his microchip installed today as well. That is a BIG needle. Hooray for squeeze cheese, I guess, because Jedi didn't notice either poke. The tech helped to keep Jedi and Kizzy busy while we started to look at Kaiser. When we moved Kaiser to the exam table for a closer look Jedi started to bark impatiently. I threw the Holee Roller and his ball on a rope at him and this seemed to keep him happy for the rest of the visit.

After a quiet afternoon (Jedi was hyped up when we got home but soon crashed), I ended up loading up Jedi, Secret, and Kizzy to go swimming tonight. There's not much else to do when it's 90 and humid. Airport Beach didn't look too bad when I drove by on I-90, but I had it in my head that we were going back to the beach in Dresbach, so I kept with that plan. We ended up being the only ones there and had the whole place to ourselves, save for the boats that were starting to come back into the dock down a ways.

Jedi pulled his usual behavior of only coming back so far and then just sitting there in the water. I played his game for a while since I was in the water with them. Probably too long, really. I tried to wait him out several times, both with and without his toy. He didn't care, he just sat in the water, watching me and shaking in excitement. I eventually reached the point where I started to grab his collar to guide him out of the water. He bucked like a bronco the first few times. It was good practice for his waits once I let go of the collar. Jedi progressed to the point where if I grabbed his toy he would tug/follow it out of the water (sometimes not far enough, so he'd get some help with that), but he never brought the toy out on his own.

Eventually it started pouring and I figured it was time to go (I think we'd been there about 40 minutes anyhow). I went to grab Jedi out of the water again and that little snot must have sensed it was time to go and started swimming out to get away from me. I ended up grabbing him by the tail to get him to stop and then snatching his collar to take him to his leash. I'm not stupid, if I would have let go he would have went straight back into the water. Maybe I should consider putting him back on the long line for swimming for a bit... We went and hid under the gazebo until the rain stopped and I couldn't get Jedi to even look at me because he was fixated on going back down to the river again. He wasn't much happier about getting into the van once we got over there. Of course once we got going he completely crashed.

Jedi ate dinner out of a bowl tonight since I stopped to pick up Chinese on the way home and I wanted to eat my own dinner.  :o)  He ran around with Kizzy some more tonight. One time I walked by and looked out the window to see him at the top of the a-frame looking over the fence. I'll have to be sure to keep the a-frame well away from the fence, I guess, so as not to tempt him further.

Day 86 - 4th of July in the Park

Happy 4th.... Jedi did well with the fireworks last night to a point. He and Kizzy were even running around in the back yard while the smaller ones popped off here and there. He was completely unfazed -- Until the blasted M80s started going off all around us. Argh!! This makes me so mad. I don't even classify those things as fireworks, they are nothing more than explosive devices and should be outlawed. They were getting set off close, as they shook the whole house when they went off. Prior to the M80 blasts I was pumping food into Jedi during each of the bigger pops from "normal" fireworks. He was happy to take it. When the M80s started Jedi was refusing food and looking worried. He retreated under my recliner for the rest of the night. From what I could see he was flat out and I think he slept through most of the later stuff, but it still bothers me that we had this experience. My fear is always that this sort of thing will cause problems with storms in the future.

We were so super lazy today. Luke had some issues last night, so I was kind of worn out from that. Jedi worked on his cuddling skills in bed this morning. I'm sure eventually he'll get big enough that it won't be comfortable for him to be right on top of me, but hey, we'll go with it for now. Once I finally got out of bed Jedi got his breakfast downstairs. We started on the cone and really only focused on going to the right. I'm getting to the point where I can treat Jedi just in front and slightly to the left of me and then he will continue around the circle, but he's still getting stuck if I don't do the food placement. We finished up breakfast on the paw pods and the donut.

After I more or less napped the morning away I finally took Jedi out for some running time. I dragged the tunnels out again and set up another circle with the cone -- this time a little more spaced out than the last time to give Jedi more room to build up speed. He kept staring at the toy shelf every time I went into the garage to grab stuff, so he was a happy boy when I finally grabbed his udder tug. The name of the game continues to be "just run fast" and we did minimal work with any turns at speed. I didn't ask him to come off his line/turn until the very end. We also threw in some check-check and nanana turns around the cone before finishing up. Jedi did great with his stays in front of the tunnel today and only had one occurrence of coming into me instead of the tunnel when released, and I'm pretty sure it's because I was just too far ahead and lateral for him.

Jedi's pool was a little tepid, and he was looking like his usual warm self after this running session, so I made his day and we refilled it. The best part of pools in Jedi's mind is when they get filled, although they're pretty cool the rest of the time, too. You know Jedi is warm when he doesn't even wait for the pool to fill at all before he flops in and spreads out. He lays there while the water starts to fill over the top of him and this lasts until he's cool enough that he realizes the hose is running and this is something he can play with. Then it becomes a contest -- he tries to see how many times he can get the hose out of the pool and I try to keep it in.

Once Jedi's pool was filled I figured I'd spend a little time playing with Kizzy through the tunnels (Kaiser's still got a bum foot and Secret is just stressing over fireworks all weekend). I gave Jedi a tennis ball in the hopes that it would entertain him while I played with Kizzy. Well, Jedi isn't much of a self-entertainer when it comes to tennis balls, I guess. He just kept running to wherever I was and waiting for me to throw it for him. He got to run through a few more tunnels and then I would throw the ball across the yard to hopefully keep him away long enough that Kizzy could at least get in a circuit before he showed up in her path again. I very briefly attempted to get him to hold his sit while I had Kizzy go through a tunnel, but it quickly became evident that this was not going to happen so I gave up trying. He's not ready for that yet. You know what he can do now, though? Catch tennis balls that are tossed to him! The mouth/eye coordination is starting to develop! Still a ways to go with food being tossed at his head, though...

All of this took place around noon today, which means that Jedi got another late lunch. I wasn't going to feed him that soon after so much running, so we went back inside for some nap time. Jedi ended up crashing until about 3:00. Once he was up I figured I should probably get around to making up for missing nail day on Friday. Jedi's nails were looking kind of long when I looked at them the other day. How do they grow so fast? We went out on the deck and everyone had their turn. Jedi had to wait through Kizzy and Kaiser's turns. He did well and I randomly rewarded him with a few pieces of food while he waited. Jedi did well for his turn, if not a bit overly-fixated on the dish of food in front of him. Once he was done I let him finish off what was left. He more or less stayed out of the way during Luke and Secret's turns.

Jedi's outing of the day was down to Memorial Park in Sparta where their 4th of July celebrations were happening. Kizzy got to come along due to the social aspect of the event, and since Kaiser's still got that bum leg and all (and Secret had the big outing yesterday). We met my parents and niece down at the Lion's Shelter for dinner. Jedi barked impatiently a few times, I think mostly at the boys who were throwing a baseball in the nearby field, but in general did well while we ate. We took a short walk after dinner and the dogs got to say hello to several children who wanted to pet them. Our walk took us next to the lake, which was hard for Jedi, but he got better once we turned around and walked on the other side of the road. Before we left I made the dogs pose next to some cow figures that I assume are still there from Butterfest/Dairy Month.

I debated stopping by the park to let Jedi swim before going home, just to take a bit more of an edge off him before the fireworks commence tonight, but I thought he'd probably done enough for the day. We came home and did dinner on the peanut downstairs. We did some sit pretty and waves, but spent most of the session working on spins/twirls. Not surprising, Jedi had a harder time going to the right (twirl). We just kept working on it and he started to do better. Jedi and Kizzy ran around outside for a bit, but when things started popping outside I called everyone in and shut up the house. I left everything open last night because it's really not that warm out (especially for July), but tonight I caved and I've got the house closed up and the air conditioning on to dull some of the noise outside. So far it hasn't been too bad. The dogs haven't seemed to notice anything. So far no big booms, we'll see if that lasts.

Day 85 - The Dog Tank (20 weeks old!)

Jedi had his first exposure to fireworks last night. With the 4th of July on a Monday this year, you can pretty much expect there to be three nights of the stupid things. Really, I'm surprised they didn't start on Friday. Secret doesn't do well with fireworks, but she just retreats to the laundry room for the night. Luke doesn't like them, but he's dealing okay these days. Thankfully the Klee Kai are completely oblivious to any booms and Jedi for the most part seems to be following their lead. He startled and woofed a couple of times, but I wouldn't call any of the behavior fear-based. I guess we'll see how the next couple of nights go.

Jedi doesn't believe in sleeping in. Despite the fact that we didn't go to bed until after midnight because of the fireworks (granted, we were all sleeping on the couch), Jedi was up and at 'em at 6:00 this morning. I managed to ignore him (or coerce him to snuggle) until I finally got up at 7:30. Breakfast this morning was spent on the cone. Again. Because Jedi has proven that he knows left/check, I started to interrupt him when he went in that direction. Progress continues to be made in millimeters, but we're still not getting a full bypass without a tossed treat. I ended the session with the four paw pods just to give Jedi something different to do.

We didn't bum around the house too long this morning before we hit the road for our big adventure of the day. I signed Secret and Jedi up for open swim at The Dog Tank in Menomonie at 11:00, so we left home at 9:00 for that. The Dog Tank is a dock diving pool that opened up last month about an hour and forty minutes north of here. They had an open house/grand opening on the weekend of our last AKC trial, so I wasn't able to go. This was my first available weekend since they opened, so off we went!

The sport of dock diving has always appealed to me. I've been jumping Secret off docks into the local lakes and rivers for years. I've tried three different times to get her to jump into a pool with no luck, but they were also at public events where, well, I couldn't just shove her in. Due to her love of jumping/swimming, I really felt like if I could just make her get in a time or two it would click and she'd realize it was something she loves to do. I've never had a chance to jump Jedi off anything into water yet, so I had no expectations there for him. My main goal was just to introduce him to pool swimming so that we wouldn't experience the same issues that I've had with Secret.

During our first go I took each of the dogs up separately. I shoved Secret off the ramp a few times and she pretty much acted like she hated me for it. For Jedi's first turn I figured we'd start on the ramp, but just for giggles I tossed his bumper over the edge to see what he did. Well, he jumped! There was a pause at the edge, but then in he went. Much like we experience at the lake, the biggest trouble of the day was getting Jedi OUT of the pool. He'd come to the ramp, but then fail to make it all the way up. The trainer was in the pool and helped out several times, and I also found myself climbing down the ramp to haul him up.

On subsequent trips I took both dogs up together. I thought maybe it would help if Secret watched Jedi go off the dog. I did "shove" her in a couple of times, and then the next time we went up she started jumping on her own! Once she figured out that the pool wasn't going to kill her she was jumping the same as she does in natural water (if not better, considering she wasn't jumping off a slippery wooden dock). Jedi got better and better with less hesitation at the end of the dock before he jumped. His jumps were probably averaging in the 5'-6' range, which is great for his first time! Secret was pulling some 19'-20' jumps.

There were a couple of ladies sharing dock time with their two dogs, same as I was doing with mine, so we just kept rotating. This was hard on Jedi, because he pretty much thought it needed to be his turn all of the time. At one point I dropped his leash and he took off running, trying to find a way back into the pool (sorry buddy, gates). Yeah, a little obsessive. With lots of barking. I mean, Secret wasn't much better, though, especially when they saw the other dog's ball flying through the air. We had a new dog before our last turn who was taking a bit longer (first swim) and Jedi pretty much started to have a meltdown.

When we wrapped up in the pool I took Jedi & Secret out into the big field to chase frisbees for a bit to dry off. My only real concern with this was that Jedi would leave me to try to get back to the pool again (we were outside the fenced area at this point). He did great, though, and stuck with me. I did grab his collar when it was time to go back in the van, though, since I figured the most likely time he'd try to make a break for it would be when he sensed the fun was over. I put the dogs up to get a drink while I went to pack up the crate I'd taken in and never used. Then they got a quick potty break and it was time to head home. I thought Jedi did well to make it home without needing to stop, especially since he peed out half the pool when we went out into the yard.  :o)

Jedi got another late lunch (2:15) when we got home. We just played on the paw pods. We had a super quiet afternoon and then spent dinner on the peanut. I figured Jedi would enjoy this since he keeps trying to jump on the peanut every time we go downstairs. I cleaned up the yard, but other than that we really haven't done anything since getting home from Menomonie. I'm pretty sure I'll pay for this later. Jedi and Kizzy have been running around outside since shortly after dinner and there are fireworks going off already. I guess he doesn't care!

Day 84 - AKC Trial (Camp Bandy)

Jedi stayed up on the bed last night, at least until after I had fallen asleep. When the alarm went off this morning, though, he came crawling out from under the bed. Seriously, some day he's not going to fit there anymore... Because I didn't get out of bed until 5:00 and we needed to be on the road by 5:30, Jedi ate breakfast out of a bowl this morning. We managed to get out the door on time, but we were minus one dog because Kaiser is hopping around on three legs.  :o(  My first assumption was that it is his patella, but after further inspection I'm thinking it might be his foot. No idea what would have caused either of them, he was doing it when I came home from picking up Luke's hamburgers last night.

The dogs rode quietly to Camp Bandy and we got there right around 7:30. I let all three of the dogs out for a quick potty trip before I went in to check in and walk my course. I didn't have much time between running the girls (the Premier class was small), so Jedi had to hang out in the crate until after Secret was done running and they could all come out again. I was glad for a nice day with temps in the mid-70s that allowed me to just crate out of the van today. It hardly seems to pay to drag crates inside for four hours. No worries, Jedi will get plenty of trial crating experience when we go up to Minneapolis in a couple of weeks.

I brought Jedi inside during the 16" JWW class. We sat in a chair by the ring and played tug and did spins/twirls. He was completely oblivious to the other dogs until a particular black "labish" looking dog came out of the ring past him and all of the sudden his focus was completely on that dog, and not in a good way. I scooped him up and we moved to the little crating area off the ring. No idea what that was all about, but it's certainly not behavior we need to rehearse at all. He happily played tug again in that area, but it was riling up the crated dogs so we moved the show outside.

We ended up at the back fence line where there was a big pretty mare getting a drink from the water trough. I thought it would be a good chance for Jedi to be exposed to a quiet horse who wasn't doing anything (as opposed to one running around barrels). He showed a lot of interest as we approached and was fine until the horse looked at him. He started barking and I dragged him away until he stopped, and then we tried again. That happened a couple of times and then he went for the fuzzy octopus in my hand. He was able to tug ferociously right next to the fence/horse. After that he seemed fine, but again, the horse wasn't doing anything. Thanks, pretty mare, for helping us out!

After Kizzy was done with her Standard run I took her and Jedi in to the big open fenced area in back to let Jedi blow off some steam. Kizzy stays on leash because, even though the area is fenced, I just don't trust that she won't find a way out. She's crafty that way. Jedi enjoyed the big area and getting to run full out. With that big of an area I'm able to throw the frisbee far and fast enough to stay ahead of him (he hasn't ever tried to jump/catch a disc, but we don't want to encourage it yet) instead of the limited distance of rollers. We didn't play terribly long because for some reason I am incredibly paranoid about him getting hurt lately. Probably doesn't help that I already had one dog sidelined at home... The way Jedi fetches is downright abusive to his body -- it's like he's sliding into home plate every time he gets to the toy. If it's not a straight slide it's a somersault. Ball, frisbee, it doesn't matter.

Once Secret was done with her last run we took one more quick potty walk and then everyone went back in the van with pig ears for the drive home. We got home at 2:30, which is when Jedi finally got his lunch since I completely forgot to take that with us today. We went downstairs and did circle work around the cone. Again. I am stubborn and gosh darn it we are going to keep working on this until we get those circles to the right! I'm trying to play with reward placement and which hand I use because I'm almost certain that a big part of the problem is that the food dish is on the left and that's the hand I'm rewarding with. He's watching that hand as he comes around, which is why he keeps doing the left spin. We'll keep at it. Jedi's doing great with the left turns both for food and toys.

After some forced napping (I closed the fence to the big yard because of Kaiser's gimp) we went back outside around 5:30 for some play time. I finally rocked Jedi's world and brought out both tunnels. I made a big circle out of the two tunnels and a single cone. I didn't do any turns or "tights," the whole exercise was just about running in a big circle as fast as he could. Jedi thought this was super awesome. We also worked on stays in front of the tunnel, which did not have nearly the same struggle that we experienced in class. Truthfully, the bigger issue was that I would release Jedi with "okay" and he would run straight to me/the toy instead of taking the tunnel. Once he got the idea that he was supposed to take the tunnel he did break a couple of times, but that seemed to be all that was needed to get the point across and he did great. At the very end I ask him for "check, check" around the cone -- new cone, new spot -- and he did it. Hooray! Now to just get that other direction...

I filled up a pool for Jedi when we were done because he looked pretty warm and was, no surprise, climbing in the water bucket. He didn't even wait for the pool to fill at all, he just went flat down in the pool and let the water fill over the top of him. lol I was lazy (again) and Jedi ate dinner out of a bowl tonight. He's been running around like a loon since them. Secret has been playing with him tonight. Haven't seen that in a while.

Day 83 - Chiropractor Visit

Today was a work from home day and I took full advantage of being able to sleep in and be lazy. Thankfully Jedi was somewhat on board with this today. At least he came back up on the bed after he and Kizzy went outside for a while. For breakfast we went downstairs to play with the cone again. Silvia's response to my question about what to do about the wrong-way spin is pretty much what I had been doing to prevent it, just click and place the reward past the point where he is spinning. I really broke things down step-by-step going to the right. We're still not getting full revolutions in that direction, but I'm seeing things that say we're going in the right direction. I'm starting to use the "nanana" as he goes in that direction, as well as the "check, check" going to the left. My talking seemed to bother Jedi less today. The big thing today, though, was his ability to "check, check" for his tug after his breakfast was gone -- We have transfer to a toy!

We had a pretty quiet day today (read: I was lazy). Jedi ran around for a bit this morning but then crashed on the couch for quite a while. I had a meeting at 11:00 that I fully expected the dogs would interrupt due to having been napping for a couple of hours, but they actually stayed quiet. Good dogs, especially since I was the main one presenting and couldn't really mute my line if they started barking.

For lunch we went back downstairs to see if we could make more progress with the cone. Somehow I totally forgot about "nail trim Friday" today, so I'll have to get that done over the next couple of days. During Jedi's lunch training session I saw something on the floor. When I went to pick it up it was a tooth! This is the first of Jedi's teeth that I've managed to find. He is totally full of holes again right now from missing teeth. Of note, today I saw that the left canine finally fell out. That's the baby tooth that has been brown and dead-looking since Jedi was about 12 weeks old, I want to say. I brought it up at the vet once and they didn't seem to think it was anything to worry about. Well, it's gone now, so I guess we'll just watch to make sure the adult tooth comes in fine.

Secret had a chiro appointment in Viroqua today, so we left for that around 2:45. We were only in the room for about a minute before Dr. Marta came in, so I didn't have to entertain Jedi for too long. I had his bag of toys along, of course, and I played tug with him while I got Dr. Marta caught up on what's been going on with Secret. While Secret was being adjusted I sat and pumped treats into Jedi for sitting, doing touches, and sitting pretty -- to keep him out of the way. Dr. Marta offered to give Jedi a once over again, so he got to get exposed to that experience again (she didn't find anything). Before we left, Dr. Marta brought her border collie Wisp out for a visit with Jedi. They did great with each other today. Jedi pretty much spent an equal amount of time rolling around on the ground as he did climbing on top of Wisp. I wish someone would correct him for the humping one of these days, he's not dumb enough to try it on any of my dogs. Oh well, I just keep pulling him off.

I had an outing planned for tonight for Luke's half-birthday (he's 12 1/2!). I thought we'd go to Rudy's Drive-in and sit outside at the picnic tables to order some hamburgers. I was iffy about taking Jedi along because I didn't know if I'd be able to give him enough attention in this setting to make it a positive experience, but I threw him in the van anyhow. As it turned out, when I drove past there were like a million people sitting outside and the tables were packed. My anti-social side pretty much said, "heck no" and I just kept going. Instead we just drove through McDonald's to pick up hamburgers that could be passed out at home and shared with everyone.

Jedi got dinner out of a bowl tonight due that whole me being lazy business.
